Make a Difference

Our work with rescues and strays…

Approximately 3.1 million dogs enter the U.S. shelter system every year.

Although that is entirely too many dogs for us to personally take in and help, we try our best to make a difference where we can.

We have always been the ones to pull over the car when we see a stay, or volunteer to foster a dog when needed, but we felt like there was more we could do. So we decided that in 2025 we were going to make a bigger difference.

Now, we know that many people have specific needs, and they are unable to adopt a shelter dog because they don’t have the time or means to give it the training it requires. So we decided to give more dogs the opportunity to find homes.

We are going to be working with local shelters by going in and doing personality evaluations, temperament testing, and socialization testing, and finding dogs that we feel will be well suited for a therapy dog, ESA dog, or service dog program. We will then be adopting that dog and spending the next 4-12 months doing in-depth training, and getting he/she their required certifications.

In the near future we will be adding a page with the adoptees in training, with their info and photos. Please let us know if you are interested in getting on the list for a rescued therapy or service dog.

Meet Mo & Bo..

Mo, white and tan, and Bo, the other handsome guy, are the sweetest brothers. These two were found in September of 2024 by my husband and I on his families farm. We spent the next hour sitting on the ground, waiting to earn their trust until they let us pet them, and we brought them home. We posted on social medias, reached out to local vets and shelters, assuming they belonged to someone and they had just wondered off. After a week of nobody claiming they missed them, we got them the proper vetting, and neutered them.

These sweet boys quickly stole our hearts and became apart of our family, and we decided that they belonged nowhere but with us. Our 3 dog household, turned into a 5 dog household, and it has since been so much fun.

The vet estimated they were 8 months of age, and that they were a mix of multiple breeds. Without doing DNA testing we assumed labrador retriever, pointer, and hound dog. Mo and Bo have the best personalities. Both of them always wiling to learn, with very loving, personable, and loyal dispositions.
